Reasons to go with Bass Boat Green

I have put off buying a delay for a few years, waiting for this one.
The other day I was made an offer I couldn't refuse
This is why I was holding out for BBG

And something else that sparkles that I feel a strong desire to operate.
The Surly Krampus

Yup.

And it begins

Got the first component of my build tonight.
Left handed B-5 Bigsby
I dug right in to tearing it apart.
That string bar with the 6 pins is what I gotta replace.

I was really impressed, needle bearings made in oosa.
I was just expecting some brass bushings.

On the right, original string bar with roll pins removed.  To be duplicated sans 2 pin holes.

If I am going to go to the trouble of making a new bar, midas well make it out of Ti.

da bass

Some people have this misconception that bass strings don't break. False.
Wish I had a spare $200+ to keep an extra set of bass strings around.

Birmingham Small Arms

Snagged this from Lee over at Vintage Cycles Dane County
If you aren't with e-friends with him already, join up!
Tomorrow he is putting on a get together tomorrow in Sun Prairie should be a good time.
DCHS Vintage Cycle Bash

I will not be able to make it unfortunately,
im heading out to be a camp counselor at an orchestra camp up in Hartland, WI
Two camp sessions, 7 bass playing youngins to teach each session.
Been doing it for the last 6 years or so.

Missing the free Rubblebucket show at the Majestic, a little bummed about that though.
