Just got message that my Dad that he got the carbs and mag back on the Trackmaster Triumph.
Oil and gas and it should be running.   If all goes to plan, we will be heading down to Maxton, NC the 27th-30th of the month to attend the last ECTA speed trials located in NC.  They are getting kicked out of the location and moving to Ohio.

New addition of a mile bar

Wr-Kr master Fred Pettis is working on porting our 125 Harley Hummer.  My dad is welding up the head to re-shape it for a squish chamber.  Hopefully we can find a bigger carb before we head down.   Its currently running a scooter carb.
Rule books still need to be checked to make sure Bonneville guidelines will suffice.
My brother Alex will be driving over from Alabama and sounds like Fred may be down to take the trip.   Hopefully my brother Chris will be able to get out of work to make the trip too.



Hopefully this works out, its weird not being around for any of the preparation.

Rocka Box

Made it to Rockerbox Saturday with no disasters.

Was able to convince my friend Karissa to ride along and stand in the sun staring at motorcycles looking pretty.   May have used up that one free pass.

 We use to have a Rokon, we got it off a farmer who had it sitting out in a field in the UP.

We were in the process of adding a sidecar before we sold it, setting it up for 3 wheeled drive.

Trackin'

Went out to Angel Park Speedway in my home town of Sun Prairie. Growing up, even thought I was on the other side of town you could hear the Midget races every Sunday night.

The last time they raced motorcycles here was back in 1983.
Looked like the track could have been prepped a bit better.
A good friend Fred Pettis was down with his Harley KR/KHK that he had bored and stroked to just over 900cc   It was the only hardtail in the Vintage Open class, and the only flathead.

Fred doesn't race any more after a bad crash a few years back.  But he has Danny Vrana riding his bikes.
Danny had the lead for most of the race but got passed in one of the last laps.   Steve Kasten, riding a XS650 almost had 2nd place over Danny but couldn't quite pull it.

This made up for missing Springfield the other weekend, but I still gotta make it to the Mile.   Thats where the real action is.

Springfield Mile

Driving down to Arkansas with my family to visit a sick relative. Driving through Springfield all we heard on the radio was talk of the Springfield Mile flat track races this weekend.
Following this we saw Chris Carr's toy hauler going into town.
I gotta make it to the Springfield Mile some day.

Confused flat tracker

Set the flat track bars on the trackmaster. Can't wait till it has a title and its in the street. I feel like its itching to get those clip ons off.

Threw the plate and light on for fun too.

That "HD XR" plate was on my dads Harley xr-1000 when I was a young'n (wish I had a memory of that bike).
Then it made it to his Honda xr-650.
Not sure it will work for the trackmaster.

Bike even has its very own VCDC sticker on the Tracy fiberglass tank & seat.
